I finished reading this book right before I went to bed last night. The image above shows the synopsis of the book and so I won't bother rewording that here. I will simply say this. I really liked Ellie's character. She was very much independent for a 1920's woman, but she was also very much stuck in the ideals of her late mother. If nothing else, the investigation she finds herself in the middle of helps her get rid of her shell. I wasn't sure whether to hate James more or George, and for maybe one or two pages I thought that maybe there would be some sort of romance between the latter and Ellie. I was glad there wasn't. I didn't hate James for long, if I even really hated him at all. Simone St. James never lets you hate a character for too long. There is one more book I need to read of hers. I am not really sure whether I'll like it or not. Lost Among The Living is the last book I need to read of hers. http://www.simonestjames.com/lost-among-the-living I hope she has more books in the works.

It was one of the things that drew me to it actually. It seems rather mysterious, doesn't it?
