Is it always wise to avoid arguments?

Is it always correct to keep quiet and the other person feel that he is correct? Well I think there are times when we need to speak. Although if I speak, it makes me restless and I keep thinking about the argument. But still, some people need to be taught a lesson.

Yes there are times when we need to speak up. But not to keep going over and over arguing.

@amitkokiladitya some of them do. It depends in what the argument was about and what was said.

It is hard to say. If you are arguing with a mean person, perhaps it is better to avoid.

I do not debate, argue nor fight. If anything I grow very quiet during such times.

@amitkokiladitya I just really dislike arguing and I won't partake in it. I'd rather be quiet until the other party gets the hint.

@amitkokiladitya I certainly don't (get upset). But I do get frustrated by those who think they know the truth but are wrong.

You blooming idiot! I think it is best to agree with what everyone says. Wait. There's a paradox here. Never mind.

@amitkokiladitya I was being funny. I was "arguing" that everyone should agree with what others say. That's paradoxical. I actually think it's best to disagree when necessary, but to do so respectfully.

I think if we feel right we need to talk and explain the truth, even though this will be a fight ... as long as we can explain who is actually wrong

We don't need to argue while we can punch them in the face. HA HA...... Just joking. I think it depends to the person who we argue with, if we argue with a egoistic person it would be useless because all they need is to prove that they are right even if they are not. We don't have to assume we are completely right too, then there might be a result which is regardless of both sides opinions.

Yes, that's the point I'm trying to make. If we argue with the goal of learning, then both participants "gain." But if one or both are arguing only to "win," not to acquire knowledge, then arguing is futile.
