Feel Badly

I feel so badly for the people in the United States that are impacted by the Government Shutdown. People need their paychecks to survive and to take care of their families. Although I don't get into politics, I don't believe anyone should wake up one morning to realize they are going to go to work every day and have no idea when they will be paid again. Something has got to give for these people to allow them to take care of things at home. Not to mention that some of they key people not being paid are people expected to take care of us and our country. Eeek! May 2019 bring peace to every are of the country and paychecks to those that deserve them for working so hard.

I feel kind of bad for them, too, but what most people don't realize is that these workers are essentially on paid vacation. When they go back to work they receive every cent of what they would have made in back pay. They are not losing anything. However, a lot of them haven't saved a cent towards an even like this even though the government shuts down every few years because our Congress and our president can't or won't work together.

Agree, but the mortgage and groceries don't wait! Also, many are still expected to show up to work! Border officers, TSA, etc... must go to work! So, they get up, go to work, and don't have the money to pay their bills. It hardly seems fair!
