We have a guest!

I already mentioned here we shifted our home, now we are residing at the top floor. Yesterday was the first Sunday in the new house and we got a new guest in our balcony. The pigeon was busy on collecting things for a nest. My younger son kept some rice in a bowl and water in another bowl. Initially the pigeon was bit hesitant then had the rice. Now it becomes friendly with us and not showing any scare on seeing me. I am happy to see the new guest….. Photo is mine

Just a little warning, its a filthy affair once it lays eggs and makes a nest in your house, it smells for miles and they make the place dirty, if you have plants they destroy them .. so beware.

They are not making nest in our home. I know they can mess up the place with their wastes and the smell is intolerable. Thank you for the concern, we will care and till this time they are visiting our balcony.

It also leads to respiratory illnesses. We fed them at first and then we had to put a net to keep them out. My children started having problems, so the warning.

@Sreekala I know how pleasing it is to have these winged guests. Our house is visited by many sparrows and piegions. And a regular visitor is a white bull who comes and 'calls' loudly from outside our main gate.My mother greets him with rice.

Oh that is great! Just make sure that the pigeon does not gets inside the rooms of your house since they do create some nuisance and mess there.

The house door is closed and they can't enter inside home. There is enough space in balcony and opposite house terrace is also free for them.
