Have you seen lots of changes where you live?

When I first came to live in Jerusalem there was this famous pizza place in the downtown where it was there so many years. It also had a bulletin board where people could leave messages. When it finally was gone it was very very sad. Is there where you live a special place that is gone and you miss it?

@Courage7 That is terrible. When I first moved to Israel I also had to move a lot and then I became a stayer at places and here I hope we can continue to live here for quite some time.

@Courage7 Well I have a contract for another year to stay here and he mentioned that he will raise the rent next year so looks like we can stay next year too. It is a good area for me and a place for my scooter and has what I have been looking for. Just the bad part is a very bad person lives above us and someone I do not like across from us.

I do miss an art studio I used to go to. It was a place friends could go, relax, and paint pottery, glass, or canvas. It was fun and relaxing, and it is so missed.

Yup, there's a lot of things that were changed every day, before there's a good place where I can stay with nature, but it turned to a building now.

@DianneN You are right Dianne but there are places that closed and I do miss them and had to find new places and start all over again. I did not much like that.

The place where I live is one concrete jungle now. this city used to be green, beautiful and had lovely parks and open spaces. now there are only buildings and more buildings that tower over each other.

@Hannihar But this is reality. I am waiting for my husband to retire so we can move to the outskirts of the city where it is quite and beautiful. A few more years and i am waiting for the day. I live in hope

Yes several. When I was growing up, I used to walk to a local library. When I was in the eighth grade (I think), they moved to another street. Also we had a Kmart which I used to love to go to when I was little, and Kmart went out of business now. And I also loved JcPenney, another store, and it went out of business.

Things are always changing around here. Businesses come and go all the time. One place opens and another place closes.

@Happy2BeMe I understand what you are saying. I go to town and see a business there and then came back to town and see something new there. I also see lots of changes all the time too.

@Happy2BeMe So so true. Some changes I welcome and others I wonder about . Like having two shoe stores close by or side by side and two clothing stores close or across from each other or side by side.
