Chances are you've heard of a t.v. show or movie by the same name. However, this was the actual occurrence that sparked the t.v. show.
A family of Irish Immigrants were murdered in Canada in February of 1880. Their farm was also burned down. It appears that a feud was what inevitably got them killed. Wikipedia calls the feud "The Biddulph Feud" but it also states that it did not begin in Canada. The feud had begun many years before in Ireland. @CarolDM There are some stories that I am listening to on youtube? That I will not watch without someone with me. Some I still won't watch. Even these murder cases I look up? I don't always read more, it depends on what I've read.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Some of these stories really stay with me, I have to pick and choose the ones to watch.

Way before any of our time, actually. Happened in the late 1800's.

We actually studied the family in our history class... I didn't know that it was a TV show... must have come on when we left the country!

I'd never heard of it until today. Was this part of a Canadian History class or just general history?

I guess it is an example of what can happen when there is greed in the world. Greed and fear.
