I Received a Mail

It’s my ID from SSS. It’s almost two months after I was there to apply for my ID and finally I have it now because the error also in my birth records has been rectified (but the mail from the National Statistics hasn’t arrived yet containing the corrected entry and I spent another amount for it to get at local PSA office just to expedite my processing).
It was delivered at home by the mailman from the state-run post. Before, we often mail letters for family members that were away from us. It is the most economical way of sending communication before the advent of cellular phones and Internet. Long distance calls and telegraphic transfer would cost you more and only done during emergencies.
I think that state-run postal system is not that busy compared before. It is still in use especially for money orders, parcel, and mails from government and national agencies but no longer for informal letters just like before.

Post Office seems to be very useful to you. Glad you have your SSS ID now. I hope to have one also.

@ZedSmart Thank you for that bit of info. I also used postal when I fixed a mistake in my birth certificate years back.

@yoalldudes And it takes more time to receive your documents thru there but good thing is they collect minimal fee.
I haven't receive yet the annotated copy that I requested at the national office of PSA but I'm just glad that the annotation already appeared in my birth certificate when I get a copy thru the local PSA office even if I spent extra money for it. I don't know what happened with my document. It is supposed to arrive within 3 months according to the people of local civil registrar office.

Not at all times or I should say rarely. I only have few transactions to government and national offices that's why I have transaction there.
I think you have to get now while the fee is still minimal. It's free when you get it for the first time and when you ask for replacement for lost or damage ID's I think they will charge you with 150 pesos.

some people get surprised when they receive actual letters and cards from the postman because they're used to calls, text, fb messenger, email, whatsapp, viber, etc
receiving or sending telegrams usually meant something serious or official

Its been very long time I haven't receive a mail for me from post office. The last one was from Ebay which is last March of 2018, if I'm not mistaken.
