Impeach for Treason, that's the reason. One of Trump's most recent tweets has gotten a lot of hilarious comeback's. He tweeted Build a Wall and Crime Will Fall. We are on day 33 of the shut down. Innocent people are suffering at the hands of Trump. Men and Women who serve our country are having to rely on charity and food banks to pay bills, be fed, and live their lives. Government workers are having to work without pay. You may say "Oh well, they'll get back pay." That's not the point. They need the money now. Goverment contractors (food service, cleaners, security) will not get the same backpay as the rest of the government workers. Security clearances are being questioned now as a person's financial security is a must. If you aren't financially secure and have been given a security clearance? You are more susceptible to accepting bribes. I don't care what you think of Trump. You can love him, you can want the wall. That's on you. However, if you can't see that this shut down is slowly but surely killing our democracy, that it leaves us vulnerable. That it is a hostage situation in a manner of speaking.. Then well.. Perhaps you need to reevaluate yourself.

My opinion is that Trump is the most outrageous person ever to hold the office of POTUS. For goodness sake America get your affairs in order or you're doomed!

He should not have been elected. He should not have been allowed to stay as long as he has. I'm afraid of what will be left after he is gone. I also fear he's going to succeed in making us a dictatorship, it certainly feels that he's trying to do just that.

I think the Fed workers need to picket the White House and let the Trump Administration know they are not taking this lying down. Too little reaction from them..

I agree, but do you think such a protest would even work?

@ScribbledAdNauseum IF he has enough pressure, I am sure he will do something.

@snowy22315 Oh, I am sure he will but whether it would be more than a drop in the bucket? I don't know. I walked into the other part of the house to start dinner (hamburger soup, it's simmering) and I saw two headlines. One on CNN and One on MSNBC. Cohen cancels or postpones his hearing because of Trump Threats. I didn't actually stay to listen to what that was all about. The other headline was talking about how he was trying to find another venue for the SOTU address.

I agree, I look and see people going to food banks, it just breaks my heart. This is serious.

I am a democrat but I firmly believe that Trump and his administration do not represent the republican party. It is really sad what is going on here. This division and hate that has always been there, but that has been allowed to fester and get worse by the hands of Trump.

I've heard of a restaurant offering half off to coast guard's. This is at the coast here in NC. If I was able to do so, I'd donate to organizations that I know would get the money to these people.

@Hate2Iron Unfortunately not. Of course now the Government has been reopened, and I can only hope it will stay that way.

I am hoping that it won't be long before that happens now that the dems are in the House. Of course, we just now have gotten the Government back opened, and even that may not last long. Have you heard the newest bit? Apparently Trump is using movie plots now, saying that the thing that happened int he movie (Sicario) are actually happening at the Mexico / US border. ' We need him gone.

I try not to get too involved in politics, but with this administration? I feel as if I need to be aware.
