On This Thursday : Connecticut "The Fundamental Orders" is written

In 1639 representatives from three Connecticut towns band together to write what would be the New World's First Constitution. Some dispute this fact, saying that The Mayflower Compact , written 20 years earlier, has that claim as well. Either way, it was one of the first Constitution's written in it's style. Connecticut was dubbed "The Constitution State" because of this written document. More can be found here:

Never knew about this Amber. Yeah only one I knew was the Mayflower Compact.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I was a volunteer docent in a history museum here for awhile. It was pretty interesting. It didn't have too many visitors though so I would just wander around in the museum alot, or play online.

Yes I agree. I especially love local history, but any history is wonderful. Local History just makes me feel that much closer to the people who lived here before.
