Yes, you can use maple leaves for tea. Not only the leaves but the bark as well. What's good in it ? Well it can be used as a sedative and a tonic. Good remedy for the liver and the spleen too. IT treats the nervous system. So you guys if you have a maple tree in your backyard, you know what to do with it. Well , o. k . I will try to not mutilate mine. You see, by taking the bark out and leaves, I think there is a way to go about it that it will not destroy the tree itself. So when you make yourself some tea be sure your leaves are dry, use one cup of boiling water and put a teaspoon of powdered leaves.... so it means you have to crumple the leaves to brew your tea. Wait for 5 to 10 minutes before to drink it. You can drink up to 2 or 3 times a day. One thing is I never thought about drinking some of that kind of tea, because I am allergic to maple sirop, I make a big deal out of it. Just to avoid allergic reaction.

I would love to try it, we don't have sugar maples here. I suppose the First Nations people made tea out of many different things.
