Whale Watching

Back of a whale besice our boat off Monterey, CA

This is the back of a whale off the coast of Monterey , CA a few years ago. Seeing a whale this close was really exciting to us. Actually, this whale stopped beneath the bottom of our small boat and 'spouted' its breath which went all over us. It was not a pleasant experience, but unique and a very memorable one. It is one of those things which l never expected to happen to me.

What a nifty photo. Whales are so intriguing. Perhaps more should consider whale watching.

Its exciting but you must be very nervous at that time. With that monster size fish, who would not?
