I tell everyone that I meet that I will probably forget their name, but will never forget their face. This bothers me. But, I cannot remember names. Do you have difficulty with remembering names or do you have a secret trick you use to remember names?

I have this problem a lot. I have no idea why. I try to say the person's name aloud and write it down if I can.

I am terrible with names, but I never forget a face. I ran into a lady that I have no idea where I meet her before and now I live in her neighbor hood. She told me and my daughter to come over to play with her kids. I just told her politely that I know who she is, but I am terrible with names. I make sure I am nice about it. I always forget peoples names.. been known to forget mine a time or two.. LOL

I have had that happen on more than one occasion! I was working at the high school, when a women came up to me and spoke my name and asked how I was and was carrying on a conversation with me as if I knew who she was. The next time she came in, I did ask her what her name was and where she knew me from. Our boys were on the same little league team for 4 years! I couldn't remember her to save my soul. But, I do now. I still occasionally run into her out in the real world!

I'm right there with ya hun! I commonly call people hun, sweetie, baby, sugar, etc...not only because it is an endearment. But because I am horrible with names and want the person to know how much they mean to me...without going..."Awww...what's your name. Your so sweet!"
I too warn people that I might have to ask them several times what their name is because I am not good remembering names...but great with faces too.
I am doing good if I cam calling the my own kid by the correct name..."Willow...Mikayla...Noah....(point) YOU child! Come here!"
I commonly call Willow, Mikayla...and Mikayla, Willow.
I know their names! I named them! I just have a hard time getting out which name I want!

Try having identical twins! I remember calling them by their last names when they were little because I couldn't tell them apart when I was angry.
