Dinner Plans - Times Change

It used to be that Saturday night meant eating out somewhere nice! I looked forward to this and it was pretty non-negotiable after a long week of work and responsibility! As those of you following me know, we this past week went down to one income (by choice) and have decided to try and make some cuts! So, one thing we decided was the 'really nice' every week dinner would become a nice, but not fancy lunch outing most weeks with a fancier dinner less often! That doesn't mean I don't want good food...and this week, I've been very hungry for Italian. So here's the plan tonight: I've made a homemade butter cake with maple whipped cream (approx $2.00) Stuffed Manicotti Shells (Approx $5.00) Italian Bread ($1.49) Olive Oil/Balsamic Vinegar Dip for bread (minimal) So, for well under $10.00, I'm thinking the 3 adults in my home will have a great meal with leftovers for lunch tomorrow! Everyone is thrilled given the weather that we are staying in and we all feel better about not spending $50-$60 on a single meal. We had a great lunch out, a nice sandwich and iced tea, so I'm happy about that and excited for dinner too! What's your plan tonight for dinner?

My husband prefers it! I on the other hand enjoy going out, but...we will meet in the middle!
