An iPad?

Hello! I need advice! I am looking for a bargain on a laptop. I have been searching on eBay for a good used laptop and have not been having much luck. Most used laptops state "for parts". I notice many people send e-mail with the word "iPad" on the e-mail. I have looked up on Yahoo what the heck an iPad is and does then got even more confused. Before going any further, I bought a Zeepad tablet from Sears a few years ago and the darn contraption is worthless. I do all of my work with a Dell laptop and the laptop is almost 7 years old. I need another laptop, but if an iPad is more economical, easy to use and more productive for my work, then maybe I should consider. Do any of you own an iPad? Would it be good for work (my laptop is my set of wheels) as I telecommute? If not, what type of used laptop would be better to buy (as I only know how to use a Dell). Again, I would need to buy from eBay and only have so many dollars to spend. Thank you so much. photo by pixabay
