Who on myLot likes chinese food? Who dislikes it? Why? I used to not like chinese food because I had thought that it was all just fish but now I like it. However, tonight, I'm not liking it as much. I got the same things I always get but now I have heartburn and my belly is upset. And the food just seemed alot greasier than the last time so I'm thinking it's the grease that's really getting to me. My sister would be laughing at me right now. Having heartburn and belly aches from Chinese Food because she says she can no longer eat chinese food due to allergies. She says she has recently become allergic to peanut oil which very well may be true but that doesn't mean I have to stop eating Chinese Food lol. Even with the heartburn and belly ache, the Chinese Food was good. Maybe I overdid it with the green beans a little. It's been 2 weeks since I had chinese food but the last time, they were out of the green beans so I got extra this time.

We have similar experiences with the local Chinese restaurants. There is one that 1/2 the family lieks and doesn't have problems with. There is a second that the other 1/2 the family likes. So we don't do Chinese as often.

There are 4 people in my house and only two like chinese food. One of the ones that say they don't like it will eat chicken chow mein though.

We had Chinese for dinner last night! And sometimes we make it at home. I don't care much for the fast food type Chinese food - that tends to be greasy and saucy - it's not really true Chinese food, but a lot of people eat that.

@CountryGirl31 I hear pepper and onion are hard to digest for some people. What is bon bon chicken? I love all of it - including soups and wrapped items. And of course I love my rice!

My favorite things are the chinese place I go to are the green beans, mushrooms and the bon bon chicken. I also try to get something I haven't tried yet. I think that's what upset my stomach. It was a pepper, onion and chicken saute thing but the onion was not cooked all the way. My stomach does not do well with uncooked onion unless it's a red onion on a salad.

@much2say bon bon chicken is a sweet bbq chicken. It's all cut up and sauteed in the bbq sauce.

I wonder what made you think Chiense food is all just fish? Because here Chinese food is all mostly pork though there's chicken and fish.

I'm thinking I may have had it confused with sushi. Unless someone told me it was all fish when I was younger, I don't know lol.

@CountryGirl31 I was thinking the same thing that you might have confused it with Japanese food. Chinese food is mostly steamed and fried and greasy.

I usually get the Gen Tsos chicken from Walmart and that can satisfy a chinese craving for me. When I crave the green beans from chinese, I found out that I can actually make them at home and they taste pretty much the same except for the really salty stuff they put in with the green beans.

@Ladanger They do at mine. They have a hot bar over by the deli where you can get different kinds of chicken, all fresh and hot, along with some sides like corn and potato wedges. Things like that. I love it cuz if I don't feel like cooking for myself, I just get a dinner plate. It's one meat and 2 sides.
