Too Cute Moment

Tonight, I am doing the Sat night into Sunday overnight for my nephew who is vent dependant and bed bound. Well, he "stole" my blanket that I brought over for an overnight a few months ago and he insists that it is the only one that he can sleep with. Friday, I stopped by and saw that my blanket had been shoved to the bottom of the dirty clothes basket. It's brightly colored so it stuck out pretty well. I asked my sister about why it was in the basket again as I had asked her to put it in a bag whenever it was dirty so I could take it home and wash it. Apparently, the night nurse said it was dirty, that it smelled like pee and poo so she put it in the laundry. I smelled the blanket and it smelled fine to me. No pee or poop smell. Maybe a little B/O from my nephew sweating on it but nothing to major. So I took it home and washed it. Brought it back today and my nephew would not go to sleep without it. I had planned on me just using it tonight as it gets a little chilly in my sister's house, especially during the winter. While getting my nephew ready for bed, he asked where HIS blankey was so I gave it to him. Immediately, he put it on his face and smelled it. then he smiled and said, "That's more like it." OMG! I just love my nephew so much. The littlest things he does just warm my heart. Right now it's 1am Sunday and he is literally singing "I got my blankie, I got my blankie, I got my blankie. Yea, Yea, Yea!" TOO STINKIN' CUTE!!

He always steals my blankets. Says they are special and only he can use them. One time I found out that the blanket I left here was taken up stairs by my other nephew and he wouldn't bring it back down so I had to go and get it.

@amitkokiladitya No it's not. Especially when the other kids are told that they don't have to listen to me even when I'm watching them. Or my one nephew yelling at my older nephew who is bed bound to shut up or turn his stuff down when it's not even that loud to begin with. On saturday, my younger nephew was watching tv and playing on his phone but then would go into his brother's room to yell at him for using his dvd player and tablet at the same time. Said that their mom doesn't want them to use two things at once but he shut right up when I pointed out he was doing the same thing. And he wouldn't even tell his brother he was sorry so I took his phone away.

I get like that sometimes. I have a blanket that I got from my friend for xmas that anytime I use it, I fall asleep within like 20 mins. Unfortunately, my daughter decided that she wants to use the blanket so now the only blanket I have is the comforter that's on my bed lol

@Hannihar It takes longer with the comforter. The blanket I like to use almost acts like a weighted blanket so it's easier to fall asleep with that.
