Not happy with my neighbor

Honduras
February 3, 2019 7:28pm CST
We asked out neighbor to please feed out cat this weekend because my family was going out of town. We left out cat outside because he likes to play with the strays but he always comes back to eat. While we were out we texted out neighbor asking if they had seen him but our neighbor always said that they hadn't seen him so they didn't leave food thinking other cats would eat it. But this happened TWICE and then they never told us whether they had or hadn't seen him AT ALL. We came home today and my cat was waiting on the yard, when we got inside he was all over the place crying for food. I don't think he ate AT ALL this weekend.

We usually don't leave our pets to our neighbours because we simply don't trust them to do such responsibility.

I agree with you, I was going to ask my neighbor, but then if she comes in, Cry may run out and don't know how long it will be before she comes back. The other two, I'm sure they will be okay since they have never been outside. I'll find out in a couple of weeks. I will let you all know how it turns out.

I'm not happy with your neighbor either. I'm not happy at all. I think it's time to find a more responsible, caring, loving trustworthy neighbor or friend to care for your baby. It really burns my up when people like your neighbor don't take pet care seriously.

I agree with you. Even if he is an outdoor cat, he would have been in a safe place inside the house. I be too worried to depend on others to care for my babies

@Skychrome Wow, that is mind boggling; I would also have thought that pet owners would make good pet care takers. Something isn't right here.

Tell me about it! They have pets of their own so I thought they'll do good but apparently their love for pets is exclusive for their own. That's just heartless.

We're leaving for the weekend as well, so I have to make sure I leave them enough food and water. I'm nervous because this will be the first time we leave alone. We have left them for the day, but not for two whole days.

if, deep inside, they didn't really want to do it, they should have said no when you asked them. now that you know the real score, with whom will you leave your pet with next time you have to be out of town?

I do! Last time I had to travel out of town I left him with the friend who gave it to me. Unfortunately, her female cat was on heat this weekend and I haven't castrate him and we didn't want to risk more kittens.
