SO Liam Neeson is in the news! That was very brave /stupid of him to admit what he did to a journalist on the record. Saying you wanted to go out and kill 'any blackman', as revenge, after your friend was raped by a black man, has really raised an eyebrow or two in Hollywood. Samuel L Jackson said similar things in the 1990s to a newspaper that he , too , hated people not of his color , although he was high most of the 1980s. I think Neeson was really saying that if black man tried to mug him or fight him in a bar he would take out his anger on him. I dont think he wanted to kill a random guy, There are worrying statistics around race and rape in America and Europe and I guess Liam knew those numbers and when he found out the color of the rapist, that triggered that simmering hate. I think most white males are racist to a point when they see crime stats.Its just an unexplained natural feeling. Black pressure groups have, not surprisingly, jumped all over this. Those same pressure groups said Michael Jackson's pedophile trials and pays were a white Jewish conspiracy. So far no white people are defending Liam Neeson but refreshing that he was candid when he didnt need to be. Black and brown people who know this is how racist white people are deep down are attacking one for saying it. Will Liam's career suffer now? I think it will. Is he a racist? Probably not,.The last time he starred alongside black actor was in 2012 in The A Team. He tends not to work with black actors.
