PTP and Social Networking...

I'm new to the pay to post, PTP, concept. I've always enjoyed posting in various forums even as far back as USENET. My problem is, I"m having a little trouble browsing mylot as I don't seem to be able to simply look at a list of topic, or groups. I just write something, think of some appropriate meta tags, and try my luck. I'm morally opposed to joining Facebook. I hate the site, the concept, and mostly the execution, and all the damage it's helping to wreak on Society. I'm considering Twitter, to promote some of my postings and critical analysis'. Is twitter, and other Social Media critical to making any extra money in PTP?
