Quislings and trumps

Maybe it's my anger, or disappointment in certain citizen's of my country, I'm not sure. I spend a lot of time thinking about the historical affectations the United States term under Trump may give birth to. I know these musings will not really affect what the future holds for us all. I also know that the subjects I broach in this little note may be some of the least important, but here I go... Dictionary result for quisling quis·ling Origin: Second World War: from the name of Major Vidkun Quisling (1887–1945), the Norwegian army officer and diplomat who ruled Norway on behalf of the German occupying forces (1940–45). Wikipedia Link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quisling The link and note above tell us about Quisling, a Norwegian politician, military officer, and policeman who betrayed his country, Norway, during the rise of the Nazi party, and Norway's subsequent invasion leading up to, and during World War 2. In short, quisling is a word for traitor, or collaborator, taken from the Norwegian individual described above. I wonder if the word “trump” will ever be co-opted to describe any of the numerous defective traits of Donald Trump. Yeah, I know trump is applied to playing cards, and I suppose that’s why the ancestors changed the family name from Drumpf, to Trump, but I’m really not sure of why. I don’t want Quisling to be forgotten, I don’t want Trump’s name to take the place of Quisling’s, bur maybe that will happen. Perhaps, trump could come to be synonymous with liar, or narcissist. I suppose it could become a single syllable word for sociopath or psychopath. Only time will tell, and it will take individuals and media for more influential than me to start the meme which will later be entered into various dictionaries. I hope it does, this tragic event in American history needs to be remembered. I’d appreciate any other suggestions readers may have for the word trump to stand for, please post your ideas. When reading posts and blogs in various regions of the web, I run across words for Trump supporters. I have little respect for those who after all we know and have experienced under Trump can still support the man. Often they are permutations of two words; Turmpanzie, Trumplodites, Trumpzombies. I’m sure there are numerous others. If you know of some, please post them in a reply.

I have seen "Drumpf" mentioned in some of the comments on social media posts. I had no idea it was an actual surname for Trump. Interesting.
Donald Trump's ancestors changed the family surname from "Drumpf" to "Trump," but the timing of that change isn't clear.

I can’t stand the man and change the channel when his voice shows up. My wish is for him to be removed from the White House. Cleaning the house would not be a good job for me, he gives me the creeps...

@TheHorse I heard it. Aside, I'm sorry Jerry Brown ran for President, so often, while he was still so young. He'd have made a great successor to Obama, and probably would have done much better than Hillary in an election.

To me, "trump" will ultimately come to mean lying your way into a place you don't belong, and being in way above your head. It could also come to be a new term for overestimating your own competence and/or popularity.
