I Cannot Help It, It Is a Bit Frustrating

My Brother struggles cooking any type of Cow. He cooks turkey well, chicken very well, pasta, he cooks that well. Yet, any type of steak, he just struggles. These are the thicker steaks and harder to get right, but my sister explained to him how to cook thicker steaks. Well, I have to cook it like that or outside will burn. Butterfly it. that way inside will cook evenly, no, I will just cut them into smaller pieces. It helps a bit, but he often leaves the inside so rare. blood is still oozing out. I made a bad joke one time. Look I am a lion with a fresh kill of meat. My sister laughed and goes, yeah this has to back in the stove. While I was napping he decided to cook frozen Hamburger patties. He burnt them. They were edible but did taste burnt. I am like what the hell, so simple and he woke me up cooking them. He was at the stove whole time. Those are easy to cook, much easier than thick steaks. Well, the darker color of meat. I was not sure when it was done. The Blackening color did not let you know they were more than done? It is like, now you decide to overcook the meat because I like my steaks done medium well. One cannot help to laugh and he is my older brother so kind have to let him be the alpha on certain things. I am no great cook but can cook the caveman stuff. Makes a good rum and coke though.
