Imagine a world where most of the people have died by killing themselves after being afflicted by some strange unknown phenomenon, and you are one of a few left alive.
Birdbox is a Netflix production and shows a world after a mass scale apocalypse where the few left must overcome mad forces and innumerable obstacles to survive.
We have Malorie Hayes (played by Sandra Bullock) who has two young and not yet named kids- a boy and a girl, called by that name only. They have to row a boat downstream a river with blindfolds, which they do not have to take out, else they might die.
All this has happened since some years back, some strange phenomenon grips a lot of world areas, where people see something in the sky and start getting into suicidal tendencies. Some get in front of vehicles and get killed, others just hang themselves or drive their cars to accidents, or cut their own throats. Some people including Malorie and a few more folks survive for a few days in a closed and windows blackened house but later succumb to either exposure to mad people from outside or one mad person given asylum by them.
The movie also stars Trevante Rhodes, John Malkovich and Danielle Macdonald.
Overall, the concepts looks ok. However, the story leaves so many things to be explained and there is so much backward and forward movement and going to flashback; it breaks the momentum. Somehow, the direction and a few things in the story could have been much better. But yes, at times, the movie does makes one scare- not because of ghosts, but due to the fear of unknown.

I must admit I enjoyed the movie. it isn't that bad, but the end come on, they could have come up with a better ending. I did not get it at all!

@amadeo yes and we have too many flashback and too many things are left to viewers to figure out themselves.
