Everyone here knows how i am not a big fan of movies or t.v., but I do sometimes watch it. What I'd like is for everyone here to recommend to me something they really like. It could be a : Youtube Vlogger Television Seires Movie but especially books and / or authors Please make sure that it is something that can be watched in the US, or a book that has been translated into English. I have Hulu, Amazon Video, Netflix, Crackle, TubiTv, and Cable. No, I don't pay for all of it, just the Hulu, Amazon Video and Netflix. Please! I'd love to expand my horizons. Especially Books Have I said that enough?

I have read many books about ancient history, I am so into that. I love reading about the old gods and their characteristics and mindsets. I wish I could suggest you a book, but I have no idea if they have been translated into English. I would like to suggest you a series, but I need to know what kind of genres are you into so I can suggest you the right one.

I like reading about history, but I do that mostly online., I will sometimes get fictionized books about history and read them. My favorite genres? This is both for television and reading. Tudor History, Historical Fiction, Horror / Suspense type, Colonial America, Druids and Druidism. Celtic anything...

@jvicentevalera I love Stranger Things, I've watched Hemlock Grove as well, have you watched it? It's been years since I've seen it, but it was alright. I like Bates Motel sort of, it's been awhile since I've seen it.

Have you ever watched Breaking Bad or the Office? Both can be found on Netflix. I didn't watch either when they were on TV, but I binge watched Breaking Bad a few years ago, really binged..and I watch the Office almost every night as well, at least an episode or 2. It is a crazy show..but funny!

@ScribbledAdNauseum I started watching New Girl, but it was a little too millenial for me. I might check it out again sometime though.

I've heard The Office is funny. I've seen memes about the show. I've heard of Breaking Bad, but I don't really remember what it is supposed to be about. There is another one my friend recommended, something along the lines of "New Girl", I think is the name of the show.

Any book by Laurie Notaro makes me laugh. Books by A.J. Jacobs are clever AND hilarious. As for TV shows I recommend A Million Little Things, although I don't know if the episodes are available on anything other than abc.com. The TV show "You", premiered on Lifetime, but is now on Netflix. It's intriguing, although it's certainly not everyone's cup of tea. It exploded once it appeared on Netflix. And if you can find it, I strongly recommend the documentary, Young @ Heart. That's exactly how you spell it.

I will look into all of these later, thank you. I just woke up not too long ago. Too groggy to do anything just yet. Is Young @ Heart on Netflix?

I don't know any current books to recommend. I'm busy writing my own. Though if you wanted to look up mine, I'd be tickled if you read one or all since it's a series. You'll find them on Amazon under my full name. As for favorite series - When Calls the Heart on Netflix. Manifest and New Amsterdam on Hulu to catch up with the season. Those are what I watch and a few others, but those are my favorites.

I've heard of When Calls The Heart, I feel like it'd be something I'd love. I intend to get the books of all the 'lotter authors eventually. I just have to get them when I am financially able to. I know one has them on the kindle, but I'd rather buy the copy.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Mine are both. I'm sure you'll like When Calls the Heart. It's a great series that originated on the Hallmark channel.

My current time-waster-of-choice is NCIS. I've been doing a fair amount of design work on the computer (I'm learning machine embroidery and sometimes the software is very tedious since I haven't yet figured out many shortcuts) so I run an episode of NCIS on my second monitor while I'm working. The first two seasons were not particularly superlative, but beginning with season 3 I've been a bit addicted.

Oh, I love NCIS. Well, when I watch it that is. NCIS and NCIS : LA are the only ones I watch. I wasnt' a fan of the Louisiana spin off. Did the software not come with a beginning tutorial?

@ScribbledAdNauseum I bought an inexpensive embroidery software online. It's a great program, but it didn't come with tutorials. I found a few on YouTube and have been doing a lot of experimenting. Im only half way through season 8 of NCIS...and at the moment don't plan to watch the spin-offs.

@SophiaMorros I've only watched the first full season of NCIS:LA so I can't really say I've watched it. You have got to appreciate youtube for that, there is tutorials for pretty much everything.

I rarely read as yo know, so I am no help there. But I have watched a few series that I enjoyed. Fargo was an odd series awhile back. I like strange and different and Fargo fits the bill. I will keep thinking and share as my brain works.
With Billy Bob Thornton, Martin Freeman, Allison Tolman, Colin Hanks. Various chronicles of deception, intrigue and murder in and around frozen Minnesota. Yet all of these tales mysteriously lead back one way or another to Fargo, North Dakota.
