The Appian Way was one of the very most important roads in the Roman Empire, going all the way from Rome in the north to Brindisi in this south. It was on this road that the Apostle Paul was taken for his house arrest imprisonment in Rome. According to tradition, it was somewhere on this road that the Apostle Paul was beheaded.

Yes sit is, just the way in Paul's day. In Ephesus the street that Antony and Cleopatra and Pal walked on in still thee, as the theater where the riot was when the people there seemingly wanted to kill Paul.

I wonder where goes the rain water, I do not see any ditch ? Where did you took this photo ? It does not look like that near Rome.
