"Let's Date!" / myLot

Since it's Valentine's Day, let's talk about dating. It takes courage from someone to actually admit that he/she is in to somebody. For some, it's easy to say 'let's date!' , but for some, it might be the other way around. For me, dating is a phase of getting to know the other. It doesn't require you to commit or to jump into an assumption of ending up together (non-negotiables crossed). It is a phase where you have to lay your cards down before both parties go into a deeper phase- commitment. What do you think?

I think dateing can be fun but I find it is much harder to date as you get older .. Maybe because you have gone thru alot and that makes you more picky ..myself after 2 divorces i just want to make sure i never settle agsin and it scares me to get too close sometimes ..i did that once after i was single again i fell head over heels in love and it didnt work out but i still.love him to this day. And that makes it more difficult for me to trust let go.and date again because dating means letting go of him amd im not ready to.do.so even after all these years ..and i do.talk to him.on occasion briefly so.he knows how i feel ..so i just feel.stuck in love .. Yesterday someone ask me to be there valentine so i have tried ..i have decided i for now only want to be friends .. With him .. Still not ready to take that leap..

I understand where you're coming from. We should always learn from our mistakes. Always guard your heart. But hey, at least you gave yourself a chance!
