This isn't about Valentine's Day. I just thought up the title when I thought about this discussion.
A friend messaged me last night : We should pick a day and go hiking, eat a lunch and then read for a few hours. Of course I was game, I mean whose going to pass up food?
Or reading for that matter. Another friend was talking about a beach trip, and I thought that sounded lovely as well. I am not sure what all I will get up to this Spring, but it certainly sounds as if my dance card is getting full.
What are your weekend plans? Either this weekend or any other. Have you started making plans for the warmer months?

Id never pass up on food, depending on what it is anyways. But would pass up reading, in a heartbeat. Unless its something like mylot. That can actually interest me. And on the beach.. and probably on hiking too.

I know it's not everyone's cup of tea. I absolutely love to read, and hiking, while not my favorite, is still nice.

When the warmer months get here my weekends will be filled with many different camping trips to various places. I am looking forward to that.

I have never had a friend suggest we go do something then read

This was a first for me as well. She knows how much I love to read. She has a few books but I intend to bring two or three just in case she wants to read something different.
I haven't talked to her more about it, maybe a day in March...

I have a fall road trip planned. A spring one sounds good as well. I love the fall because of the changing of the leaves.

@ScribbledAdNauseum We don;t have much of a fall here in the tropics, but I do love autumn colors. I just need to get out of the house as soon as the boys are done with their exams. LOL I have been cooped in for too long.

@sofssu The changing of the leaves are so beautiful. Last fall they went from gren to brown, no real orange or red inbetween.

That sounds like it would be fun. A friend invited me to an event in K-Vegas, it was some sort of Victorian style event. I won't be able to make it, that is if it hasnt' already passed.

Your day sounds like fun..the hiking and reading in a quiet spot. The only thing I really plan to do at this point is an Easter trip to see family. However, more things will pop up I am sure.

I got invitation to a bridal brunch (my cousin's) for Sat. I don't know if I'm going. I hope to go to Big Lots to get two litter boxes. And I have to do some grocery shopping. Next weekend is full though with it being my birthday weekend. My best-friend is supposed to be coming by and I might be going shopping with my mother.

Oh that does seem like a full calender for the weekend. I've never been to a bridal brunch.. Well, maybe my cousins but that was eons ago.
I didn't even have a bridal brunch when I tied the knot. The knots untied now.

I hated the weekends. I had to work every weekend when I was a stock clerk. Our trucks came in Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
