Do christians believe if you are homosexual you will go to hell? / myLot

I happen to not be a chrisitan (or a homosexual for that matter) but I have heard that the christian beleif is this? Christians, Do you believe this? Non-Chrisitans, Is this right?

I don't believe it's one of our beliefs..If it is, I'm not ok with that. God is supposed to forgive anyone, why not gay ppl? They've done nothing wrong. True, they cannot pro-create, but they can bring other joys to a person's life. My two best guy friends are gay, and they have brought me and our other friends a lot of joy over the years.

Thanks. I think some christians believe this becuase it is abusing gods creative plans?

It's technically in the Bible in ONE TINY LINE that says something like "Thou shalt not lie with man as with woman" or something... it doesn't really say what would happen if you do, and it's never repeated or emphasized really. There are a lot of things in the Bible like that. But, there are many Christians who take the Bible literally. So yes, it is a Christian belief - but there are MANY denominations of Christianity (hundreds) and many/most don't believe that.

I am not christian and my friends said his girlfriend once told him that it because his friends are gay so they will go to hell..lol later on my friend and his girlfriend broke up but we still talk about it and laugh about it. It doesn't matter if you are homosexual or not.No one can or should say you will go to hell!!
