Cameron whose last name was not mentioned was at home with his dad whose name was not mentioned who suffers from diabetes who suffered an attack that caused him to lose consciousness.
Cameron attempted to call 911 to seek help for his dad but since he did not know the password to contact the authorities, he had to resort to Plan B and ride his bicycle to contact his grandmother who lives five miles away in Greenville County when his former school teacher Keller Sutherland saw Cameron riding his bike on a busy street.
When Cameron told his former teacher that his dad suffered from a diabetic attack, Keller as well as other concerned citizens were able to call the authorities to report the incident.
Thanks to the emergency personnel coming to Cameron's home, they were able to attend to Cameron's father's need in the nick of time.
Sutherland admits that she believes that God had placed her there to assist her former student to save the life of his dad.

That was certainly divine intervention however I wonder why Cameron did not just call his grandma.

The cell phone his dad had was blocked. I am sure that there is no landline phone at his home or Cameron panicked.

I am glad he did not have the big responsibility on him and that his former teacher stepped in to help him with his dad.
