Jury Duty

My number came up and here I sit, waiting to see if I get selected for a jury.
I don't mind it so much because I've done some reading and now I'm getting to chat on MyLot. Sure, there's a lot of other things I could be doing but are they so important that I can't perform my civic duty and possibly serve on a jury?

@hereandthere - No, I had jury duty one other time so I kind of knew what to expect. I brought plenty of stuff to keep me busy - magazine, tablet(s), and phone. The good thing is that the county provides free wifi so I'm not totally cut off from the outside world - unless I get selected.

@hereandthere - to be honest, I'm a little confused about how long it lasts. I think it may just be today unless I'm actually selected to sit on a jury. If selected, I'd have jury duty until the trial is over.

I suffered jury duty hell earlier this month and mercifully I was excused.

@JohnRoberts - I can understand why it would be jury duty hell! Quite the cast of characters for sure.
