I have been MIA so to speak for a couple weeks. I last posted that my depression was hitting me hard, and it really has been! I'm still trying to pull myself out, but its not easy. Last night was another really hard night. The sun came up again this morning and for that I'm thankful. I'll continue to be thankful for the things I have that do bring me joy. It is hard to explain depression to people who don't live it. Its even harder to explain to the people that I love how I can love them and hate everything. :\

Jaycee, maybe getting some physical exercise can help you. Doing so can boost certain chemicals (neurotransmitters) in the brain, putting you in a better mood. Just a suggestion.

Great idea Mike! I know that... But sometimes I need to hear it from someone else. :)

I know what living with depression and other mental illness is like. I live with Dissociative Identity Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, and PSTD. It is a daily battle and I am grateful for each good day that I get to feel normal again. Hang in there and keep sharing. You will get through this even if t doesn't feel like it. Anytime you need a listening ear, I'm here.
