Sorry to hear that Peter Tork of the Monkees died today. He was more than a manufactured musician. I met him a couple of times in Marin County, CA. He played with some local musicians I knew there. I came home from high school one day and he was taking a shower in my bathroom:) Some friends brought him to our house because he needed a place to take a shower. I chose this video because I like the pictures, but that's him playing the banjo.
I can't get enough of Peter and his banjo. :3 From "Live - Backstage at the Coffee Gallery" featuring Peter Tork and James Lee Stanley.

RIP, I watched him on the Monkees back in the day. I had the biggest crush on Davy Jones.

Poor Peter, everybody has to go sometimes though. He seemed like a nice guy.

He was 77, so not super old. There is no info about the cause, although he did have some kind of cancer.

Yes, the goodbyes are hard as old favorites drop off one by one. But it's nice to see you again.

I was a fan of the TV show when I was about 11 years old. By the time I met him, I was 16, and the Monkees were a thing of the past. Still, I was excited to see one of my old idols.
