Humankind has benefited a lot from technology but it also produced commensurate psychological difficulties. For one thing, it invades our lives and intrudes upon almost every face of it. The very first thing we do when we get up in the morning is to check our mails or even our text messages, our FB account, Instagram, Twitter which will take a lot of time to respond to (not to mention the “online writing blues we do!)—all before heading to work. Phone calls, faxes, text, private messages and more emails interrupt us throughout the day. new gadgets and machines designed to lighten u the workload actually end up increasing it because they promote human multi-tasking. Via technology, people can simultaneously microwave a meal, do a load of laundry, text, send email and messages, even print a document such multi-tasking madness can result to overstimulation and forgetfulness. After a day of technology overload, many fall into restless sleep because of techno-stressed brains working overtime!

Isn't technology great. But I take my time off it by updating my journals using pen and paper. I write my diary, I put my schedule on a real planner and not on my phone. I have my budget planning on paper too coz I can't stand using the computer for that at all. But I love technology and I love what it gives me but I just don't abuse it the way others do. You won't see me browsing on facebook, but you'll see me opening a site similar to Instagram that pays me (it's great). I have a MacBook Pro, an iPhone Xs Max, and an Apple Watch series 4. I cannot escape from those but I still water my plants, walk my dog, and enjoy my surroundings rather than spending most of my time on facebook all day.

I also love using technology but I do not depend much of life on it.

I often got late for work because of checking for emails (and replying to some...)

I agree with you. I, for one, need to change the habit of watching videos thru my Android. It can add some stress but I still like the benefits, especially when you can make some money. Technology, also, offers the opportunity to work from home, a perk that I like to have.
