The Alhambra us a palace and fortress in Grenada, Spain, built in 889. It was later destroyed, then rebuilt in the 13th century into its present state as a royal palace. After 1492 when the Spanish took possession of it with expulsion of the Moors, and became the court of Ferdinand and Isabella, who financed the exploration of the New World by Columbus. A marvelous place. It is better to visit at opening hour when it is not yet full of tourists.
