Marrying the person you love is surely a blessing, but is it all. When it comes to settling down in life with respect to marriage, it isn’t easy even if you have known someone for years.
Last year I got married to the person I claim to love, I accepted him as he is and believed myself that I can have a happy marriage. Not that I have a problems in my marriage, but it’s just that things turn out differently; may be because when you start living together things open up in a different way.
I have heard from so many people around me that they are actually fed up of the same person whom they fell in love with and desperately wanted to marry.
Just wanted to know is it with everyone, and if so then how exactly people deal with this?
Looking for words of wisdom!!

If I can turn back time I wouldn't have entered into relationships. But that is me speaking at a very bad time. Partners can be source of great emotional support you cannot have being single. But I think being single lets you have the best relationship with yourself. I will never know.

Marriage is a give and take, though some may take it as one gives and the other takes!
All relationships and friendships fall within this ambit for them to last and give meaning to both parties.
I have been married for forty plus years based on the above criteria plus, of course, the love and compassion we have for each other - siva

You're only married for a year and you're still in the adjustment period. I've been told that the first 8 years of marriage is critical because it is in this period when you get to know your spouse pretty well and it's within this period when you can assess whether you can handle the married life or not.
So good luck to you.
