A female Pit Bull named Cuddles who came close to being put down along with 20 other Pit Bulls during a dog fighting raid in Ontario Canada in 2015.
Due to a law in Ontario that forbids Pit Bulls in that part of Canada.
Thanks to animal rights groups in Ontario, the Pit Bulls were spared the death penalty since it was determined that even though the Pit Bulls were involved in the infamous dog fighting ring, they believed that the dogs could be useful to humans as companions.
Thanks to Jim Crosby who is a former police lieutenant from Jacksonville Florida, he was able to determine that the Pit Bulls could be rehabilitated into service dogs for veterans and inmates.
Cuddles managed to find a home last year with Billy Brauer who lives in New York who needed a special friend after he suffered a stroke who is a retired firefighter and veteran.
Brauer who is 73 years of age is thankful for the friendship he has with Cuddles after coming close to being put to sleep four years ago.

Neither am I. I like Beagles, Labrador Retrievers and German Shepherds or the mixed versions of the breed.
