So i had some cockroaches around the house and i felt like the spray i bought was not working. I gave up for sometimes. Then i decided to check some methods online and i got one cheap to try. They said you mix baking powder and sugar in equal amounts. For sure it worked. The moment you just pour the mixture they just disappear i don't know to where. Now i plan to pour the mixture now and then to get rid of them completely.

Does that really work? Oh God I had no idea. What about ants? Ants follow anything that's sweet, what if ants show up everywhere?

Am not sure about them but the big ones i guess salt work for them. I used to see grandma long ago pouring salt and they escape. Its like salt make them feel irritated or something

My grandma would use boric acid powder and my mama used Pine-Sol . I'm glad your method worked.

@Missmwngi hopefully they are gone for good. When I lived in Florida we had to work hard to keep them away.

We have big ugly palmetto bugs here in Florida. They are flying super roaches. Diatomaceous earth helps keep them in check. It is good for any crawling insect and does not harm people or pets the best I know.

ah, those cockroaches carry the mixture you made to a certain place for their annual party. You will see them again the moment they finish eating that old lot. (just teasing, have no clue what those cockroaches like or not like. I know they prefer greasy stuff. Guess those baking powder breaks down the grease, hence the sad and silent cockroaches? )

Nice to hear that. Actually I heard this method before but I have never tried it. There are some kinds of cockroaches. Are the cockroaches big or small in your side? I think it is easy to get rid of the big ones rather than the small ones.
