Do meal timings have anything to do with weight loss?

We all know that diet plays an important role in maintaining an optimum body weight. A healthy diet, with all important nutrients in correct proportion is key to healthy weight loss. But what about our meal timings - do they have anything to do with weight loss? For example, we are advised to have a heavy breakfast and very light dinner. What if we we have it other way round - light breakfast and heavy dinner?

Our metabolism is fastest in the morning, so it is advised that breakfast is rich, as the day passes, our metabolism slows down, so dinner should be light.

@Nevena83 Hmm...what you say is true. Our metabolism is at its peak in the mornings.

I think that it is all about portion control... I switched to a smaller dinner plate and ate less! Now I have to work more exercise into the equation!

@Hate2Iron, Yes, for weight loss both diet as well as exercise have to be taken into the equation, I guess.
