My husband surprised me with our anniversary gift. He was able to talk his grandparents into letting us get a ferret. I had several growing up. I was very surprised that the ferret we got is a girl. The bad thing is we get any harnesses to fit her right now so we are waiting another one to come in the mail. We had to move around some of her things after placing her in her cage because she kept going potty in a spot that wasn’t the litter box so we moved it she kept going.
We are excited for her and going to give her lots of love and attention. We named her Piper. She is going to need a bath soon.

Can you turn it loose or does it always have to be caged?

She can be lose but has to be on a harness because ferrets like to find tight small spaces to get into so they need a harness and long leash. As of right now she needs to be caged since her harness doesn’t fit. We are waiting for one to come in the mail and it should be here any day now.
