Try Meditating With Me For Just One Minute

Try Meditating With Me For Just One Minute It wasn't always easy for me to meditate and it probably won't be easy for you either. I have only been meditating seriously for about a year ... I was terrible... I fidgeted, my mind jumped around non stop, I got bored and then stopped. Then I would try again and would lose interest and quit again. And then I thought I would try reading books on the subject and I even took a course. Each time, I learned something new and slowly it got easier. My problem was that I didn't know what was suppose to happen! It took me a long time, but I'm now to the point where I can sit for 15 minutes easily and... just sit! This was incredibly hard when I first started out but I learned to do it in baby steps. So I picked out a video for you. It is merely 1 minute and 45 seconds...... You can watch the video (which is beautiful) while listening to the music, but there are annoying pop-ups... :( so I suggest you close your eyes and just be... :)
Time to relax... sunrise with epic music. Epic sunrise clouds, relaxing beautiful nature HD video. Playlist relaxing 1 minute: https://www.youtube.com/playli...

I do this often. Sometimes I will go out in the screen room and just sit still and silent for five minutes. It is great for the mind. Love this music by the way.

I am working on allowing noise during meditation... I still find that hard! Hubby can be incredibly noisy in the morning... have to figure out how to handle that!!

@Hate2Iron I thought silence was the best route. Find a corner somewhere.

@CarolDM That's what I thought too, but later I learned that you have to know how to ignor noise... this morning I completely meditated for 15 minutes while hubby made is breakfast. You simply hear the noise but you don't react to the noise!! LOL... I'm getting there slowly but surely!!

When we go to chair yoga we begin with meditation and it is very relaxing.

It's how I start my day and then I add all of the informal minutes that add up at the end of the day. :)

And who takes the time to do it anymore... I have to do my formal meditating first thing in the morning... or it might not get done... That's why I like informal... I have lots of single minutes when I'm simply waiting for something. Might as well take full advantage of it!!

You are not alone. It takes a long time to be able to control your thoughts. And even when you do get to that state, you will still have bad days. Just comes with the territory. But every good minute adds up!!! So don't give up!

I do try to meditate sometimes. I was supposed to do it every day for March but so far am failing. I have some guided sleep meditations and other videos to listen to - I can't do it on my own, my mind races, so I need that background voice guiding me.
