Among different tourist attractions of Sri Lanka the Pinnawella Elephant orphanage is a beautiful place. The orphan elephants are propagated in the orphanage. They are given food. In the afternoon they are taken to the river for bath. Tourists enjoy the company of the elephants.

That is so nice and kind thing to do. Taking care of orphan animals is a nice gesture and I am sure many tourists would be visiting the place and it must be bringing decent revenues.

Thanks Arunimaji, tourists are given opportunity to feed the elephants with milk. We also bought some milk and fed the baby elephants with milk.

@arunima25 Thanks Arunimaji, yes my elder son loved the elephants a lot. In the afternoon the elephants are brought to the river for bath. It is a treat to see their movements in water.

@sathviksouvik We are planning one trip to Sri Lanka maybe next year. I think Dec is a right time to visit there. My children would love to feed milk to elephants.
