Loneliness is ...

There are many songs and poems that touch the theme of loneliness. A song by an Argentine singer called Leonardo Favio says in one of his phrases: "Loneliness is a friend that is not ...". There are many people who enjoy being alone without the company of other people and there are those who can not be alone for long. There are many ways to perceive loneliness. Each person has a different concept of what it is. What solitude means to some is not what it means to others. How do you perceive loneliness? What does it mean to you? Do you like to be alone or would you prefer to be always surrounded by people?

Since I live alone, I get my alone time at home. When I go out, I'm friendly and will talk to people anywhere.

@karibe I think that loneliness is a longing and not having a mate that is compatible and suitable and with whom you are happy to be with and with whom you enjoy enjoying God's creations.

Very well!! You get along well with the lack of company, but you're not hostile to her when you have her with you. But, tell me Felix, what does loneliness mean to you? Have you reflected on that?

@db20747 No, I did not know, but now I think I know who he is. Your question awoke my curiosity and I went to Alfredo's profile, and through the lines that describe it, I imagine it.

Well, you enjoy your time alone (solitude), you do not have problems with the lack of company, however you think that when people feel alone they are falling into depressed feelings.

Ah! Does not it bother you to be without the company of other people? But what does loneliness mean to you in a deep sense?

You like to be in the company of other people, you do not have problems with that and it's fine, but you often look for moments without close people because you like tranquility. Do people restrict your tranquility?

There are times when I want to be lonely. While there are also times when I want to be close to my family.

Hello Kokil. it means is that there are times when you want to be without people by your side (solitude) and that is natural when we want to be with ourselves and, those who are believers, with GOD. But have you ever experienced a feeling of loneliness, of abandonment, that is depressing, bad?

Solitude and loneliness are two very different things. I love my solitude, and believe I may need more of it than some people, but I am seldom, seldom lonely.

This answer of yours is very interesting because you touch something very important that is the difference between solitude and loneliness and you say I love my solitude and I'm rarely lonely. So solitude is desirable and lonely is not. Can you establish a point of difference between the two terms?

To be alone and be loneliness are two different things. I feel very lonely, and that is not something I want.

@Nevena83 Excuse me if I'm very inquisitive (you stop me when you consider it appropriate) Why do not you have love by your side?

Being at times without the presence of people nearby (solitude) is one thing and feeling alone (loneliness) is a different matter. And why do you feel very lonely, Nevena, if we can know?
