Preparing for a Snow Day

Good morning! I slept in today after going to a new brewery last night. Earlier this week I hadn’t remembered that i was using more PTO (vacation time) this week, resulting in a 5 day weekend. Temperatures here in MN have been a little warmer and above freezing for a minute. It will continue for a bit today above freezing and just below (a low of 26!) but starting at noon we will be getting a winter blizzard coming in from the west. Supposedly 8-12 inches of snow forecasted, but another model suggests 6-10. On the plus side, it will be above freezing for a while so it may melt on contact.
And on the other hand, melting snow when temps will dip below freezing may turn to ice, making commuting even scarier than when on packed snow.
At noon I will be holding myself up in my house for an afternoon and evening of getting things done. I need a project or eight, so this is my to do list:
-Get 15000 steps on treadmill
-make another batch of cream of spinach soup (I have all the ingredients so i may as well)
-catch up on laundry/reorganize closet
-make last Green Chef meal (it has been sitting in my fridge for a week so who knows if it’s still any good!)
-research New Orleans ideas
-make more cocoa butter body butter (I still have plenty left but like I said - need a project. Also am really addicted to how it smells!)
-finish current book (An Unquiet Mind by Kay Redfield Jamison)
Maybe I will check in and see what I have actually accomplished later. I also wouldn’t mind a baking project.
I am so ready for spring to get out and about again! What have you planned this weekend? Anyone else getting hit with the snow or storms?

I am glad we only had a little over a week snow here, which was more than enough. Sounds like you had a busy day planned.

I hope that the blizzard makes a turn and bypasses where you are.
We've got a sunny and bright day today.
I have to have an ultrasound done on my kidneys in a little while, and then we are driving about an hour to the city where our accountant's office is. We need to get our income tax papers done. We'll stop in at our son's place after that and go out for a nice supper together. We are expecting rain tonight, and it could possibly freeze because it gets below freezing at night. Its probably part of the storm that you are expecting.
Stay safe in the storm.
