Three Gorges Dam, China

The Chinese government moved about 250,000 people to build the Three Gorges on the Yangtze River in the China countryside. The most interesting visit to the region was a trip up one of the three gorges, floating above hundreds of feet of water where people used to live. The picture that I posted is of a model of the dam, since it was impossible for me to get a really good picture where we located on our cruise stop.

The picture looks pretty. Does it look the same in real? Must have been an interesting trip.

Did the real thing look as pretty and clean as the model? :P (Please excuse the silly question, but it was the thought that came to mind. )
