Morgan Burnley who works two jobs to make ends meet in Manassas and Stafford Virginia was rewarded by a local businessman who lost $6,006 dollars recently.
The name of the businessman was not mentioned however. How he lost the cash is not clear but the story is that he thought he had placed the money inside the trash.
When Morgan went out of her home to throw out her trash, she found the money on the ground next to the trash.
Morgan could have taken the money using the "Finders keepers, losers weepers" train of thought.
Morgan decided to take the lost money to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.
The next day the business owner found out that someone had turned in the lost money to the police,
Stafford County Sheriff's County Major Shawn Kimmitz was impressed with Morgan's act of honesty that she was awarded the Challenge Coin as her reward.
The local businessman awarded Morgan with a portion of the lost money for her honesty in turning in the lost money.

It really is a great act of honesty from Morgan to realize that the money that she found outside a garbage can was not hers. She hopes that people will follow her example.

@amitkokiladitya It is a sad fact that few people believe in being honesty when they see huge amounts of money that is not theirs.

That is true since the rule of seeing a lot of money that is lost is "That is not my money. Give it to the person who owns it."

That is true since it beats stealing money that does not belong to the person who found it and possibly going to jail for being a thief.
