Part of our city tour in Beijing was to a large zoo. Of course, there were lots of animals there, but the stars of the zoo were the pandas. A part of the program at the zoo is breeding pandas to as to keep them alive alive. Natural habitat destruction is making it hard for the pandas to survive in the wild, in remote mountains of the country where they live.

I love seeing pandas in zoos. They look so cuddly and lovable.

It's good the zoo has a program to keep the panda population from becoming extinct.
