Last night about 10:30 PM I saw on Instagram about how center fielder Adam Jones was released from the Baltimore Orioles 
He was their best player! He was their team captain, trained a lot of other outfield players, 
including his replacement
The center fielder had been with the Orioles for over 10 years. He did a lot of charity work and donations for the town of Baltimore and nearby areas.
He met his wife and married there, both their children were born there. However the Arizona Diamondbacks baseball team saw his talent and signed him on to their team

Jones signed a one year deal with the D-Backs. The O's let him go because they are lowering payroll and in rebuilding mode thus wanting to play younger cheaper players. That's why they got rid of Machado and Scoop last season. If they wouldn't keep Machado, no way on Jones who is 32 and declining. They want rid of Trumbo and Davis but that's next to impossible.
