Siberia native who now calls Yonkers New York his home Timothy Yuriev was at the right place at the right time on Tuesday when he was walking with his wife and his Golden Retriever Kira near the Irvington Reservoir when he took action to rescue two dogs that fell into the icy water.
The owner of the two dogs called for help after her dogs fell into the icy reservoir when they fell in since their weight was too much for the ice to handle.
Timothy along with his Golden Retriever Kira worked as a team to rescue the two dogs who were struggling to stay afloat to the shore safe and sound and reunite with their owner.
Timothy admitted that his relatives taught him to train his body to withstand cold weather when he was living in Serbia which served him well to rescue the dogs since he figured that a rescue team would not arrive in time to save the two dogs that were in danger of drowning.
