In school I quite often made mistakes in mathematical problems but when comes to money I seldom make mistakes lol... That is the magnificence of mathematics. I believe it’s a matter of attitude sometimes. If we pay serious attention towards a mathematical problem we might be able to solve it as it concerns us much as in the case of money calculation, right?

That's right. Money is important to all of us, especially in capitalistic society, so we will make sure our calculation regarding financial or monetary solution LoL. For me, I am quite serious in profit calculation and investment stuff. But I am not calculative though, when comes to giving treat to my friends or family, and in fact I am quite generous to them LoL. Thanks for the response!

That's right. We should always help people who in need of financial through donation or charity organization. By doing so we had done the good deeds, and will make us happy and feel contented. Besides, I believe kind people will have good luck too LoL.

Oh! It’s nice to be generous in this sense. Your parents and family are happy to have such a loved one like you lol... It’s also good to be generous when come to the donation for those who needs financial help very badly like those disables, orphans and victims of the natural disasters.

When I was in highschool I got top grades in math. Now I am not so good at it anymore I think. I do well on all that builds on logic. The formula stuff I am not so great at anymore

Me too. I think all my mathematic skill has almost vanished Now I rely on software to do all the calculation. Microsoft Excel is a very powerful tools to perform all the analysis and computation. Other than Excel, JMP software is also very powerful for engineering use. I think remembering the formula is not necessary anymore with all these advance software available nowadays. Thanks for your response teison2!

Software really help us a lot! It simplify the tedious job, and also save both our time and effort. But sometimes it's not easy to find a good software free of charge!

Well, I do agree that doing good in mathematics and loving mathematics are two different thing. But most of the time, one who loves mathematics, should be doing good in it. It's ok for not doing good in it. In fact, nowadays we have many software that help us to solve complicated mathematical problems or perform analytical computations. In fact, if you continue to explore, it's really a fun thing. Thanks for your response rhane7315!

Business applies mathematics a lot. But it requires less complicated calculation. It just need normal transaction compilation and statistical analysis. Unless you are really researching the business model of giant company, then you might need more advance computation, in order to predict the market trend and movement.

Good to know that. It's an interesting subject in school right? It's not difficult to score more than 95%. It's not only interesting, but it's practical and being applied over and over again in real life. Thanks for your response sd_abot!

Yeah, you are right. It's not only interesting and you can also apply it on others. Especially when you are a business manager or a business man. Computing is necessary on business, right?

In my school standard I was so good in mathematics that I always scored 100% marks in every class. Really I was interested in mathematics from the begining . So ,every tough branch of mathematics is seen easy to me.

Great! You must be a mathematics genius back in school time. I don't really score that many 100 marks back then. It only happened during primary for very limited time. When I was in secondary school, as long as scoring an 'A' (you need to have 80 marks and above to achieve that) is good enough for me. Thanks for your response abdulmajeed!

yeah i was really good at mathematics....in the school days... becoz i would score so heavily in maths at it was my bunny subject.... This woould compensate on the other subject which would directly increase my marks in that subject...so it was really good to know that u have refreshed my memory of school day... Thanks for posting a good one....

Yeah, my math had been pulling my overall grade up too during school time and university time. It's the only subject I have confident to score high marks. But I still remember I did so badly during my primary school and got punished by my parents LoL, because I did a very big mistake. I did the plus operation for the math question that requires me to do the minus operation and vice versa for the questions of plus operation. End up I got all the answer wrong. Ever since after this, I am extra careful in my calculation. But still, due to my careless nature, I still did mistakes down the road but just minor mistakes LoL. In fact, this discussion refresh all the good memory about my experience of learning the maths as well. Thanks for your response!

I always did fairly well in mathematics (I completed Calculus and Stats in college), but I've never really liked math because of a terrible teacher I had while in middle school who really degraded the girls about our math skills.

Good to know that you are doing well in mathematics too. But the way of teaching have its impact on students interest and performance. Therefore, I always stress on education with better quality is good for the students. Luckily our teachers are good in teaching. They know how to conduct the class in creative way and explain the theory in a comprehensive way. My parents helped me a lot in understanding the mathematics theory as well. Besides, they also ensure I do daily exercise to maintain the skill. Thanks for your response kelly3ps!

Mathematics could be improved through training. But of course, logical sense and good memory could be added vantage as well. I did mathematics exercise on a daily basis when I was in school. It's to train our skill so that we could apply the formulas and solve the problems in the most efficient way. But in business, you always have tools to help you on all the calculations. So, no worry for you right? Thanks for your response, ayou82!

That's good. Although I was doing good in school but I has stopped practicing all the calculation now. I applied only those work-related mathematics. Calculus is one of my favourite during secondary school! It's an amazing way of calculation! Thanks for your response!

Actually I asked about three only, namely mathematics, history and geography. I hoped I found those mylotters who are interested in these subjects and we could have discussions on them. Well music is one of my favourite, but we studied it only in elementary school. My mother taught me some of the theory and that's why I could catch up in class. I also like science as well. You had made a response earlier (no.54) LoL. But still, thanks again!

I know you hate the subject. But it's a very fundamental needs which enable human to achieve all the engineering and technology wonders in this world. Luckily there are people who like it and develope it so that our civilization could advance with this study. Thanks for sharing your opinion, arshad5555!

I was an average student in Mathematics. I am not very good at mathematics or very bad at mathematics. I like doing problems. One thing I hate is studying all the formulas by heart. I like simple formulas very well. I did have Statistics paper for my Bachelor in Commerce Degree. I think it is fun learning mathematics.
