Still Freezing Out There!

Finally decided to actually bundle up and go for a walk down to the river to see how it looks. We have a mini sander/snowplow that takes care of the side walks so we thought that it would be an easy walk. It was quite pleasant until I managed to step onto a piece of black ice. And I was being so careful!!
I will skip just how hard I went down because seeing the river made up for it! It was gorgeous. Frozen solid until you got to the falls! Spectacular and I'm glad that I went!! Here's hoping that the next time will be ice free... at least the sidewalks!!

Just one wrong step and you are down. No bruising as of yet lol!! The river was awesome!!

@just4him I actually expected to find a bruise... I seem to be bruising easier than I once did and this time nothing!!

@Hate2Iron My airline working daughter suggested we go to Cuba for a few days as she has a few days off in a row coming up. I was for it and with her birthday coming up it would be a nice treat. Don't think it will happen though. I got no money,.

I know what you mean... a nice vacation somewhere warm would be nice... but I'm enjoying this mini vacation at the moment... :)

I will do so... but I'm terrible at taking photos!! Will try to drag our daughter down with us for some photos. She's amazing!!

I have fallen harder... just not what you expect when you were trying to be so careful!! It was an awesome sight!!! LOL... I meant the falls, not me falling!

I'm glad that you didn't get hurt to bad. I bet the river was beautiful being all frozen like that. The weather is warm and stormy here today.
