in Mickey Mouse Club house, what is Pete?

Mickey is a mouse, Doanld is a duck, Goofy and Pluto are dogs What the heck is pete?

I think that Pete is a dog. Also you could argue that why do Pete and Goofy walk on two legs and talk while Pluto is a traditionally pet type of dog? And if you wanted to take it a step further, why does Mickey wear pants and no shirt, Donald wears a shirt and no pants, but Goofy gets both?

in one of the episodes of micky mouse club, the professor duck says, "Dont let Pete get the cookies, you have to stop that sneaky cat!"

I'm pretty sure he's a dog. As for the tail thing, I don't think all Disney characters are exact like that. Mickey is a mouse but they don't always show him with a tail. In the older books and cartoons he has one, but in some of the newer ones I don't think he does.
